    Cost: $425
Instructors: Mr. Conor Maguire & Mrs. Hannah White

    Overview:
The SAT Prep Course helps students to increase their confidence and assist them with test-taking strategies for the newly designed digital SAT.

Why take this class?  More colleges are once again using the SAT results as a factor in considering college admission—especially at competitive colleges and universities.

The purpose of this course is to review key math and verbal skills needed for the exam, especially if it's been a few months or years since students learned the material in their typical classes.  The course will begin with students taking a diagnostic test modeled on the SAT to highlight particular areas for growth.  Then, over the next several weeks, instructors will review all aspects of the exam: format, content, and problem-solving skills necessary to solve each kind of question.  The course will conclude with additional practice tests and review.

    More details:

    • Acceptance to the course is on a first-come, first-served basis. In order to ensure an appropriate student-teacher ratio, we reserve the right to limit enrollment in the course. Should enrollment exceed initial expectations, a second course will likely be added. The school reserves the right to dismiss any student who is disruptive to the course.
    • Students are expected to purchase the paperback version of the book and bring it to each class session. Students should also bring a computer to access digital content and calculators.
    • Attendance is up to each student. Google Classroom posts will indicate work that was covered, should a student be unavailable for in-person attendance on a given day/week. Additionally, students will keep a progress file for easy access to notable areas for review.
    • This course is taught by 糖心传媒 teachers who have experience working with high-school students preparing for the SAT. The instructors are passionate about helping students to identify their strengths and areas for growth, whether or not students have already attempted the SAT in the past.
